Personal Philosophy

The road of the sculptor, indeed any person involved in creative arts, is a long and arduous one. Along the way many things are learnt. The value of patience, determination, belief in given visions.
It is a great reverance to nature and for the fact that human beings don't control it or really own it we belong to it-- this seems to have been terribly lost with this demise of our indigenous races worldwide.
Hence the work reflects the wonder, sadness, awareness, and joy of all that is around us, and the connection we as a species seem to have forgotten, or naively thought to have superseded.
The hope is that the work can help to reawaken this dormant state of being and reconnect the onlooker to our responsabilities and common destiny.

The Shed overview

The Shed is an eclectic mix of individuals who come together as a community to travel into the feeling, thinking and doing of sculpture. It is a non competitive yet vigorous environement where challenges are met with perseverance, patience, tenacity and achievement. It is a personal, yet shared journey, and at best the end result equals joy!
